Overnight Abu Dhabi Desert Safari Adventure Guide
Your overnight desert safari in Abu Dhabi begins with pickup from your location, so there are no meeting points and no waiting. You are driven out to the golden dunes, where the Land Cruiser takes over. You climb, drop, and slide across the sand as the adrenaline kicks in. Slow down with a camel ride, then race down a dune on a sandboard. As the sun sets, you arrive at the desert camp, where unlimited soft drinks keep you refreshed. Dress up in Arabic costumes for photos, get henna painted, and enjoy a BBQ buffet dinner with veg and non-veg options. As night falls, the Tanura show, fire show, and belly dance light up the camp. Then the day doesn’t end. Sleep in a desert tent under the stars, wake up to the quiet of the dunes, and enjoy a morning breakfast before you are dropped back at your location.

Dress Code

- Warm jacket or shawl, as desert nights and mornings are cold, especially in winter
- Comfortable sleepwear and a change of clothes
- No loose accessories or valuable jewelry during dune bashing
- Small bag for phone, wallet, camera, and toiletries

SAFETY
Every driver on our team is a trained, licensed professional with first-aid training. Our vehicles come fitted with roll cages to keep passengers safe in the rare case of a rollover out in the desert, and every seat has its own seatbelt. We run our safaris using 4×4 Land Cruisers.

Kids between 2 and 3 years old are welcome with a booster seat, for an extra 100 AED
Guests who cannot join: infants under 1.5 years, pregnant women, and anyone over 70
There’s no minimum headcount for this package — even a single traveler can book it. That said, a group of 6 gets its own dedicated vehicle without sharing it with other guests, which tends to be the best setup. Keep in mind that because a desert safari is an adventure activity, we advise against bringing children under 3, pregnant guests, or older travelers, especially those with back issues. That said, we can still arrange a private car to take such guests straight to the camp so they can take part in the non-adventure activities there, and we do have child car seats available on request.
MUST DO’S
Bring a camera — the desert scenery is stunning and well worth capturing. Dress comfortably, and leave jewelry, expensive watches, and anything valuable behind, since there’s no phone signal once you’re at the camp anyway. Don’t skip the Arabic coffee at the camp, and be sure to dance along with our belly dancer!
SAND SKI
Sand skiing is one of the safari’s favorite activities. You’ll ski down from the tallest dunes on a ski board — and since it’s soft sand below you, even a fall is a soft landing, so anyone can join in. It’s a thrilling must-do on any desert safari, and for the best sand-skiing conditions, we suggest booking the red dune safari.
CAMEL TREK
The camel trek is another guest favorite. As the sun sets, you’ll ride up the highest dune on camelback on your way toward the camp, where drinks and dinner will already be waiting for you.
QUAD BIKES/DUNE BUGGIES
We have quad bikes suited to both adults and kids: the bigger 350cc bikes for adults, and smaller, gentler 150cc bikes for children. For safety, quad bikes stay within a marked-off area outside the camp rather than heading into the open desert.
Dune buggies, on the other hand, seat two and do go into the desert. Before setting off, our instructor briefs the group, hands out safety gear, and then leads the convoy — a great pick for anyone chasing more of a thrill.
